What is a private yoga session like?

A private yoga session with me is like a typical personal training session, in that we work one-on-one through practices that are tailored specifically to you. When teaching a new pose, I will model it for you and explain how and why we practice it. When you practice the pose, I will adjust your alignment and encourage you towards your full potential. We are always working on getting deeper into the pose. I also will guide you through mindful breathing exercises.

Private yoga sessions give you the most efficient work and are also the most fun!

What should I bring to the session?

Please bring clothing that is comfortable for normal exercise. There will always be a bathroom available for you to change clothes. And that’s it! I will provide all the mats and equipment that we need.

How does yoga help sexual wellness?

I find that yoga helps sexual wellness primarily through pelvic floor toning and stress reduction.

Pelvic floor mindfulness helps us pump fluids to and from the genitals. Pumping blood to the genital area is how we create sexual arousal. Pumping semen away from the genital area is how men can increase sexual stamina. Additionally, pelvic floor mindfulness helps us pump sexual energy from the genital area to the heart chakra, transmuting physical energy into spiritual energy.

Stress reduction helps us restore our sexual nature. When we are chronically stressed, our body is chronically producing stress hormones like cortisol. This blocks our body from producing sex hormones that stimulate our libido. Yoga activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which puts the brakes on our stress response. Our sex hormones flow, our mind is present, and we rediscover our true self.

Please note that sexual contact is absolutely prohibited in all sessions.

How often should I practice yoga?

Science teaches us that it’s better to practice a little bit of yoga everyday, than something like one longer session per week.

That’s because the brain always wants homeostasis. When we practice yoga, the Parasympathetic Nervous System is activated to calm our stress response. When we practice everyday, we train the brain to adopt a new homeostasis in which our nervous system is calm. Learn more about this approach here. 

For this purpose, I send a custom 10-minute home practice to my private clients after our session.

How do I book my first session?

Please contact me here to schedule your first session. I usually book about a week in advance with flexible availability. We always meet at a private yoga studio for the first session although subsequently you may schedule sessions in your residence.

What is your refund policy?

Private sessions have a 48-hour cancellation policy. You may receive a full refund for cancelling your session more than 2 days in advance.
